Privacy Policy

Effective 7 October 2026

The short version: Outfity has no server and no account. Your wardrobe stays on your iPhone, and goes to your own private iCloud only if you turn on iCloud sync. The only thing I receive is anonymous crash and performance diagnostics.

Outfity is an iPhone app for saving outfit photos, organizing them into categories and planning what to wear. It's made by an independent developer ("I", "me").

What stays on your iPhone

Your photos, outfits, favorites, categories, plans and settings are stored on your iPhone, inside the app. I never receive, see or store them. Background removal runs on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework; photos are not uploaded for it.

Photos are chosen with the system photo picker, so Outfity can't see your photo library; it only gets the photos you pick.

Like every app's data, Outfity's data is included in your own iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup). Those backups are handled by Apple and by you, not by me.

iCloud sync (optional)

iCloud sync is off until you turn it on in Profile, on each iPhone. When it's on, your outfits, original photos, favorites, categories and plans are stored in your own private iCloud database, which Apple runs on behalf of your Apple Account. I can't access it. Your settings and background-removed images are never synced.

Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's own privacy policy.

What leaves your iPhone: anonymous diagnostics

To find and fix crashes, the App Store version of Outfity sends anonymous diagnostics to Sentry, a crash-reporting service, stored in the European Union. They contain:

They don't contain your photos, outfits, category names, plans or any other content, and no name, e-mail, account or user ID. The app sends no identifier that links reports to you, and IP addresses are not stored. Diagnostics are not used for tracking or advertising, are not sold and are not combined with other data. Sentry keeps them for a limited time and then deletes them.

Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the app working.

What Outfity doesn't do

Notifications

If you allow it, Outfity schedules a weekly reminder on your iPhone to plan your outfits. It's a local notification: nothing is sent to a server. You can turn it off in Settings → Notifications → Outfity.

Deleting your data

Because I hold none of your content, there's nothing to delete on my side; diagnostics are anonymous and expire automatically.
